Binta has been waiting 12 days for a sponsor.
Since the loss of her father at the early age of 10, Binta has been living with her grandmother and cousins in a concrete house consisting of a single room and parlor in Mission Street, Waterloo, Freetown. A noisy community where access to clean water and electricity is a challenge.
Binta's grandmother sells vegetables at the Waterloo community market in a struggling attempt to meet the needs of Binta and her cousins. While Binta lives with her grandmother, Binta's two sisters and two brothers live with their mother in the provinces where Binta's mother is a single mother who struggles as a farmer.
Binta is a first-year at the NIC Junior Secondary School. Due to her love for her community and working with people, Binta wants to become a social worker, a change agent in her community.
Your sponsorship commitment will help keep Binta in school and help achieve her dreams.
