Foday Charlie
Foday Charlie has been waiting 224 days for a sponsor.
Foday lives with his mother and kid sister in the Malama community, Freetown Sierra Leone. His father died four years ago and his mom sells local drinks to support her children.
Foday stays in a crowded community in a single-bedroom zinc house that leaks whenever it rains. Access to clean water supply is a challenge for Foday and his family. There is no electricity in their home and this affects him academically making it very difficult for him to study at night.
Foday is in JSS 2. His favorite subjects are Mathematics and English. When he is not doing house chores or school work, he likes to read and play football. He dreams of becoming a Scientist in the future.

Develop Africa strategically empowers lives in Africa by providing educational opportunities and strengthening self-reliance so that individuals, families, and communities can create positive change in their own lives.
We empower lives by providing school supplies, scholarships, mosquito nets, solar lights, computer/vocational training, etc. We also provide microfinance loans and disaster relief. This helps them become self-sufficient and rise above poverty.
When individuals and families are strengthened, they can contribute towards community, national and international progress.
