Kadiatu
Kadiatu has been waiting 1128 days for a sponsor.
Kadiatu lives with her parents and one sibling in a two-room mud and thatch-roofed house in the village of Kamawornie located in the northern area of Sierra Leone. Kamawornie, like many of the villages in Sierra Leone, is very remote, lacking access to electricity, potable water, and good healthcare, creating additional hardships for kids and their families. One of Kadiatu's daily chores is to fetch water from the local well or nearby river if the well runs dry.
Kadiatu attends the Evangelical Junior Secondary School in Kamawornie. Mathematics is her favorite subject and she loves to read.
She dreams of becoming a nurse when she grows up.

Develop Africa strategically empowers lives in Africa by providing educational opportunities and strengthening self-reliance so that individuals, families, and communities can create positive change in their own lives.
We empower lives by providing school supplies, scholarships, mosquito nets, solar lights, computer/vocational training, etc. We also provide microfinance loans and disaster relief. This helps them become self-sufficient and rise above poverty.
When individuals and families are strengthened, they can contribute towards community, national and international progress.
