Salma is a 17 year old promising young girl: she stays with are mother, aunt, grandfather and two younger kid brothers in a two three rooms concrete apartment with zinc roofing at the peninsular axis of Freetown Sierra Leone. Salma's father abandoned them when she was very little and the father has not been providing their needs since. Her family struggles with getting adequate food and basic supplies and sometimes have to sleeps on empty stomack. She lives in a remote community challenged with clean water, efficient electricity supply and good road network. Most of the residents in her community are stone miners and local gardeners. Salma's mother is a civil servant and earn below minimum wage.
Salma loves doing research. She has just completed high school and she is presently waiting to be enrolled in to the university. She loves English language and dreams of becoming a professional Lawyer.
